MYLYFE · ABOUT THE PROJECT

A familiar feeling. A world of your own.

About MYLyFE and its first 500 testers.

MYLyFE is a browser-based social project created by Timothy Kim. It brings together a personal feed, a customisable avatar and a small isometric room: a little place to express your taste and spend time with people you know.

Why a room belongs beside a feed

A feed is good at showing what happened recently. A room tells a slower story. The furniture, colours and objects you keep can reflect an interest that lasts longer than a single post. MYLyFE puts these two forms of expression next to each other, so your page can be both a place to catch up and a place that feels recognisably yours.

The visual direction is warm and detailed, with miniature rooms, soft lighting and a calm green interface. Designer rooms give people a ready-composed starting point, while the Custom editor supports separate furniture, finishes and window choices. The aim is to make personalisation approachable even if you do not want to arrange every object yourself.

What the beta includes

The current beta is limited to 500 accounts. Members can save an avatar and room, post photos and text, connect with friends, visit eligible rooms and leave guestbook notes. The latest update adds a choice of profile photo or avatar, feed video uploads and personal broadcast station pages. Video storage and live transmission depend on the operator connecting the relevant cloud services.

Acorns are a beta test currency with no cash value. New accounts receive 3,000 welcome acorns; daily instant top-ups are limited to 3,000 and reset at 11 am Sydney time. Cash purchases are disabled. A full 3D town is planned for a later version and is not part of this beta.

Help shape the experience

Useful feedback describes what you tried, what you expected and what actually happened. Include your device and browser if the issue is visual. Avoid sending passwords, recovery codes or private information. Use Beta feedback inside the website for account, privacy, safety and technical requests.

You can read the User Agreement, Beta Agreement and Privacy Notice before registering. These explain content rights, account rules, the handling of registration information and the special conditions for testing the beta. The journal’s practical guides are open to everyone without an account.

This is an early product, not a finished service. Features may change as testers use it. There are no claims here about membership beyond the 500-account beta capacity, investor commitments or partnerships with other brands.
